Political education ,  Teach ins & the Tik Toc era

 

From the zine to the meme, to the tweet thread and TikTok, political education has taken many forms and is an increasingly important tool for organizing and building a movement to affect change.

 

We’ve lined up some incredible political education resources from our officers, Pre-recorded Live teach-ins from Haymarket books & Pluto Press and TikToks that you can watch during your spare time at conference to get educated, share some laughs and share your new knowledge with other delegates. There will be a separate document on the website in the ‘agenda’ page for this.

A virtual information point will be available over skype all day (9.00am – 5.00pm) for any queries. This will be monitored by staff and Steering Committee members. You can also send enquiries to membership@nus.org.uk

Join our Virtual coffee room which gives delegates a social space to relax, chat and connect with each other before day 2 begins. This morning session will be a slow paced one!

The Deputy Returning Officer will announce the results of the elections for NUS Vice President Liberation and Equality

We’ll publish videos on each of the three cross-Liberation policy proposals, including summaries and speeches for and against plus a participation guide.

Coffee Room

 

Join our Virtual coffee room which gives delegates a social space to relax, chat and connect with each other before day 2 begins. This coffee room will be open until 7:30pm for delegates to take their lunch and/or breaks there. There will be scheduled group activities for delegates to participate in.
